Rene
Fayed is a Assistant Director of Gypsy Fire
Dance Company. He is a dancer,
teacher, percussionist and costume designer
with over a decade of teaching & performing
experience. Born
in Miami, Florida of Cuban/Spanish, Arabic parents, Mr. Fayed began his Flamenco and Salsa dance training as a teen at Gypsy
Fire. He later expanded his Flamenco dance education in New York City with teachers Jose
Molina and Victorio, and in Spain with teachers La Uchi, Candela Soto,
Maria Magdalena and Cristobal Reyes. He studied Cuban Salsa in
Miami with Enrique
Santiesteban, New York Style Salsa in New York
with Eddie Torres, and Argentine Tango in Miami with Roberto Maiolo
and with Daniel.
Mr. Fayed's performance
credits include performances in Madrid, Spain; Buffalo, New York;
and in Florida throughout Dade and Broward County Schools. In
Florida he has also performed at the
Jackie
Gleason Theatre of the Performing Arts,
Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, Caleb Auditorium,
Miami Dade College
Wolfson and Kendall Campus, University of Miami, Florida
International University, Miami's German American Club, Miami Shores
Community
Center, Penrods Miami Beach; Lincoln Road, St. Lucie County
Community Center, Vero Beach and at Gypsy Fire Black Box Theatre.
Specializing in Flamenco & Latin
Dance Mr. Fayed has taught at Miami Dade
College Kendall, Hialeah,
Homestead, North, Medical Center, and InterAmerican Campus. He
has also taught at International Student Volunteers, Loews Miami
Beach Hotel, Miami Shores, Williams Island, Ocean Ballroom, Dance
Empire, Gypsy Fire Studios and throughout Dade County Public libraries.
