GiGi Fayed is Founder/Director of Gypsy Fire Dance Company. She is a professional dancer, master teacher, dance coach, choreographer with over 30 years of teaching & performing experience in Flamenco, Latin, Tribal Fusion and Middle Eastern Dance. Ms. Fayed holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Language, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance and a State of Florida K-12 Certification in Dance and Spanish. She is also a certified Pilates instructor with extensive training in Feldenkrais, Hatha Yoga, Alexander Technique, Swedish Massage, Acupressure and Shiatsu Anma.

Born of an Egyptian mother and Spanish father, Ms. Fayed grew up in New York City where she began her dance studies at the early age of 3.  Receiving most of her dance training in New York City, Los Angeles and Spain, Ms. Fayed's  training extends from Ballet, Modern, Bharata Natyam, African to Flamenco, Latin and Middle Eastern Dance.  As a performer Ms. Fayed has toured, nationwide and abroad, appearing in operas, concerts, commercials, radio, television and films.  Her performing credits include appearances in films with rock star Mick Jagger and actors Shelley Duval and Edward James Olmos; commercials for Budweiser, Mc Donald's, Royal Caribbean Cruise and Denny's; dancer in the Coconut Grove Playhouse Equity production of "Good Bye My Friduchita" (a play about Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo); 10 years as soloist for the historical, early American Modern dance company, Ruth St. Denis Concert Dancers; 10 years as Director of Salsations Latin Dance Company; a decade of guest appearances on national Spanish television channels, Univision (Channel 23) and Telemundo ( (Channel 51); 5 years as member of the R' Wanda Lewis Afro-Caribbean Dance Company; 2 years as member of Marta Schill's Middle Eastern Dance Troupe and 35 years in the field of Flamenco where she associated herself with Spain's top performers such as Joaquin Cortes, Manolo Marin, Jose Udaeta, Angelita Agujetas, Candela Soto and the Montoya Gypsy family.

As a choreographer and producer of Flamenco and Middle Eastern dance shows Ms. Fayed has featured her works in California at the University of California, Irvine; Orange County High School of the Performing Arts; Wilshire Ebell Theatre; and Hondo College.  In Buffalo, New York at the New Phoenix Theatre and throughout Florida at Barry University; University of Miami; Florida International University; Miami Dade College Wolfson and Kendall Campus; throughout Dade and Broward County Schools; Manuel Artime Theatre; Colony Theatre; Gusman Concert Hall; Lincoln Theatre; Teatro Trail; Teatro Marti; Dade County Auditorium; Gusman Center for the Performing Arts and at the Jackie Gleason Theatre of the Performing Arts.

A teacher of teachers, Ms. Fayed has taught in the U.S. in colleges, universities, and public and private performing art schools. In California she taught dance at the University of California, Irvine; throughout schools within the Santa Ana School District; Orange County High School of the Arts; and for the historical Modern dance company, Ruth St. Denis Concert Dancers.  In South Florida she has taught at Ballet Flamenco,  Gypsy Fire Studios, Dillard High School of the Performing Arts; Miami Dade Community College, Homestead, Interamerican and Hialeah campuses; and has been a Dance Adjunct at New World School of the Arts; Barry University; and Miami Dade College, Kendall campus.  Presently Ms. Fayed is working on her PhD in Spanish and teaching classes throughout the Southeast coast of Florida.
